Is setting up a Refund Reserve required?
Setting up a Refund Reserve is not required. However, if there is not a Refund Reserve set up, Sezzle will require a credit / debit card on file to issue refunds, which will incur a fee.
Will Refund Reserves impact my refund policy?
No, Refund Reserves will not impact your refund policy – you are free to choose whatever refund policies best fit your business.
Can Sezzle use my Refund Reserves for refunds issued via my e-commerce platform?
If you have set up your Refund Reserves and have funds available to cover the refund, you will be able to issue the refund using the reserve funds via your e-commerce platform. However, if you do not have funds available in your reserves when issuing the refund via your e-commerce platform, you will be required to issue the refund via the Merchant Dashboard.
Could Sezzle pull funds from my Sezzle interest account?
Yes. After attempting to pull from your Reserves, refunds will be issued via your Sezzle payouts and interest accounts first, followed by a credit / debit card if necessary.
Can I move or reserve funds from my interest account without moving it over to Refund Reserves specifically?
No. To issue refunds, funds will be pulled from your interest account first, so there’s no need (or possibility) to move funds between those accounts. If you withdrawal funds from your interest account, this is still considered a payout and you will see Refund Reserves subtracted from your payout if you have set Reserves up.
