Who qualifies as an inactive merchant?
A merchant is considered inactive if they have not (i) captured a Sezzle order and (ii) failed to initiate settlement from the merchant’s sezzle account for 90 or more consecutive days.
How much is the Monthly Inactive Account Fee?
The greater of 3% of the merchant account balance or $300.
How is the fee applied?
- The fee is automatically deducted from the merchant's account balance on file each month.
- The deductions will continue until the account is reactivated by processing a new Sezzle order, the balance is withdrawn by the merchant, or the balance reaches zero.
How can I avoid the Monthly Inactive Account Fee?
To avoid this fee, ensure your account remains active by capturing at least one Sezzle order or withdrawing your balance every 90 days.
What happens if my account balance reaches zero?
Once the account balance reaches zero, no further fees will be charged. However, your account will remain inactive until reactivated.
